Cannot print

My wife's computer suddenly "lost" her printer. We cannot reinstall the
driver from the disk or from the Canon website. We get an error that says
"Spool print error" or "Print spool error."

I did all that previously. I finally contatced a computer nerd and in 1 1/2
hours on the phone we fixed it.
