Hi,

Im having problem with my HP Desktop computer / Win XP Home .

Cannot open / edit registry in normal mode. But i can do it in safe
mode logging into administrator user or any of the other 2 users
(having administrator account) .

I also get a dialog box titled "Project1" at startup everytime. .. its
says "Error Code: 53".

When i installed Easy CD Creator 5 Basic yesterday ... got a
message : "Cannot edit registry" .. but still it got installed and i
was able to burn cd's.

i scanned my computer with avg anti virus. it found a virus ..
something like "iworm" ... don't remeber the name of the virus now..
starts with "i" .. this virus was healed .. but still im having the
same problem

Can any one help me in this regard.

With Regards,

Wajid Hussain.

Is your computer standalone or part of a network?

What Warning and Error Reports appear in the System and Application
logs of Event Viewer for the last boot. Please post copies but no
Information Reports please and only Reports for the latest boot.

You can access Event Viewer by selecting Start, Control Panel,
Administrative Tools, and Event Viewer. When researching the meaning
of the error, information regarding Event ID, Source and Description
are important.

HOW TO: View and Manage Event Logs in Event Viewer in Windows XP
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/308427/en-us

Part of the Description of the error will include a link, which you
should double click for further information. You can copy using copy
and paste. Often the link will, however, say there is no further
information.

(Please note the hyperlink above is for illustration purposes only)

A tip for posting copies of Error Reports! Run Event Viewer and double
click on the error you want to copy. In the window, which appears is a
button resembling two pages. Click the button and close Event Viewer.
Now start your message (email) and do a paste into the body of the
message. Make sure this is the first paste after exiting from Event
Viewer.

Please post the name of the virus. Launch the AVG Test Center and open
the Virus Vault to get this information.

Easy CD Creator 5 is now rather out of date!

Hope this helps.
