Cannot open any Hotmail email account

Since about four days I have not been able to open my hotmail email account.
I also found this applies to any other hotmail account. I can open my Yahoo
emails with no problem and I have not come across anything eles that I
cannot open. This bug seems to be specific to hotmail email accounts. Can
anyone please shed some light on this problem.

Exactly the same problem here!! Just cannot get into my hotmail. It
continually returns an error saying that the address/password is
incorrect which is simply NOT the case. And now it tells me that my
account is temporarily suspended cos I attempted to get in too many times.

Hope someone here can help.

Exactly the same problem here!! Just cannot get into my hotmail. It

Do either of you use any security program that places addresses or websites
in your Restricted Sites list? I've had similar problems with my
personalized Excite home page in the the past. Spybot S&D, SpywareBlaster,
or some other anti-malware program I run had placed "excite.com" into my
Internet Options -->Security--> Restricted Sites listing, which then gave me
error messages any time I tried to log in to my home page. All I had to do
was to highlight and remove "excite.com" from the list and the problem was
gone.

I encountered a problem several weeks ago where I could no longer login
to Hotmail. I had made no changes in my system that would have affected
browsing. (I think something has changed on the Hotmail side.)

Since I was using IE6, I decided to install Mozilla 1.7.5 (the browser
only) and was able to get to my Hotmail accounts with that. I have
installed Firefox 1.0 as well which also allows me to login to Hotmail.
Maybe using a different browser will solve your login problem too.
