Cannot logon to Win2k03 SBS Domain from XP Pro sp2

I get the following message when attempting to logon to Win2k03 SBS domain
from XP Pro sp2 client:

Windows cannot connect to the domain, either because the domain controller
is down or otherwise unavailable, or because your computer account was not
found. Please try again later. If this message continues to appear, contact
your system administrator for assistance".

System event logs report Nelogon 5722, 5723 and 5708 errors.

Domain is Win2k03 SBS. Client is XP Pro Sp2. I have no local account
credentials so domain logon is only option. Machine had been previously
recognized by domain but now is not?

Any way to get domain to recognize machine or to gain access to client to
reset a local password and then rejoin domain?

Thanks for your kind assistance.

Joining the computer to the domain will require an Admin-level password for
the domain. Is this the problem?

Check under Control Panel>System>Computer name to see if the computer is in
the domain.

If it isn't use the Change button. Not the Wizard, which is a PITA.

There is a local administrator account that you may need to logon to in
order to do repairs such as removing the computer from the domain and then
joining the domain again. Otherwise look at using netdom to reset the
computer account as described in the KB article below. --- Steve
