cannot logon after changing from domain to workgroup

In properties for "my computer" I changed setting from
domain to workgroup and was told to restart the computer.
I did and then the field for "domain" was gone. When
trying to logon I get the following message: "The system
could not log you on. Make sure your User name and domain
are correct, then type you password again. Letters in
passwords must be typed using the correct case. Make sure
that Caps Lock is not accidentally on."

How do I logon so that I can change back to domain
setting?

Unless you know the local Administrators password, your only option is to
return the machine to the network where it belongs to and ask the system
administrator to rejoin it for you.
