change from domain to workgroup disabled logon

My setup for (microsoft) wireless networking suggested I
put the workgroup in control panel/system/network
identification. The radio switched from domain to
workgroup.

Now I can't log on....system could not log you on. make
sure your user name and domain are correct,....

Any way to put it back, for a workgroup, force a domain...

Bring the machine back to the network where it belongs and ask the system
administrator to rejoin it for you.
