Cannot lock computer...

I'm using Windows XP Home Edition, and lately i've been
posting in here about this same issue but no one seems to
reply, but it's really critical for me to know what's the
problem and how to fix it. See, everytime i click
on "Change the way users log on or off" in User Accounts
in the Control Panel, i recieve this message
saying "Classfactory cannot supply requested class" and i
cannot change any of the options in there, and i'm
gettin' very frustrated. I've never recieved any messages
like this ever on my computer and i'm really hoping
somebody can tell me why does this occur. If anybody can
help please help me, i'd appreciate your help. Thanks in
advance.

If no one has answered you, it's because no one really knows. I
personally don't like to post a guess, because the wrong answer might
damage the original poster's installation. I've Googled for
"Classfactory cannot supply requested class" and come up with quite a
few links; here's the one that I think might be the most helpful for
you:

http://www.code101.com/Code101/DisplayArticle.aspx?cid=51

Basically, this person suggests that your Windows Scripting version
should be updated and since he provides a working link, you might try
that. Also, ask yourself "what changed between the time things worked
and the time things didn't?" Perhaps you installed a program that
changed things. If the above link doesn't help, here are
troubleshooting steps for you to take:

1) Definitely you should scan with a current (post-2002 version using
updated definitions) antivirus program.

2) Be sure you haven't got any spyware on your system by removing
malware with Spybot Search & Destroy from www.security.kolla.de and
Ad-aware from www.lavasoftusa.com. Be sure to update these programs
before running them. It is best to run antivirus and spyware removal
tools in Safe Mode.

3) Start>Run and type "sfc /scannow". Have your XP cd in the drive, and
note there is a space between "sfc" and "/scannow".

4) Do a System Restore to before things got messed up.

Always do troubleshooting one step at a time and then test the results
so you can determine what worked.

If you need more help, please repost, including details such as the
answer to the "what changed" question and what you've already done to
troubleshoot the problem.
