Cannot load personal settings

I need help with loggin on to Win2K. The PC boots up and goes through the login screen, but I do not get the option to change the username. The boot process goes on and gets stuck trying to load the personal settings.

How can I force the boot process to ask for username and password

try booting in safe mode... if you get to the desktop, go to start ->
run type: "control userpasswords2" make sure that the "users must enter a
name and password" check box is checked.
