Windows media player recognises my MP3 player but won't load music onto it.

I'd really like to know why. Any suggestions of whqt I might do?

Thanks in anticipation.

Are you using the Sync feature of the Media Player to load songs/music
onto your MP3 player? Use Windows Explorer to load the player, you
can copy and paste to it. DO NOT format the player for that will make
make it inoperable and a nice ornament for your Xmas tree.

if you wanna copy and past songs to your mp3 player you can do it easily by
using windows explorer and if you wanna format your mp3 player, you can do
that as if you want to format a floppy disk, but choose the file system FAT
not FAT 32 cause the mp3 player want play your songs till you format it to FAT

I do not believe that this is true. It contradicts multiple
postings in forums on creative.com.

My mp3 player done that before and i think that this may help him cause my
mp3 player is Sony and it wont play saved mp3s or wma's if the file system
isnt FAT

All of the MP3 players that I have been in contact with, and reading
their owners manual, state to NOT format the drive for that will render
it inoperable. I do not own a Sony, but I wouldn't recommend either.

Will at last, the decision is back for paynedave, neither you nor me can do
anything for him, but i swear that something wrong happened to my mp3 player
and caused it not to be accessable even, and when i formated it i gained
access and yet windows media player still recognize it and everything is
well, but if their are some mp3 players that formating it can cause a fault
in its job, then i dont know, because their are many mp3 players that can be
formated, but may be because my mp3 player is a USB flash disk to and mp3
player. i dont know

That was good advice, thank you. I've been able to cut & paste a few albums,
but it's very 'hit or miss'. Sometimes it appears to be copying, but isn't.
Sometimes it comes up with the message 'the file could not be copied. It may
not exist or is being used by another program'. Sometimes I have to restart
the computer and the Zen to get them 'talking'.
