vista not finding my creative zen V

When i blug my creative zen V to computer, syncmanager dosen´t find it (no
player conected) i tryed up dates from creative for vista site, no use...
When i go to "my computer" it shown there as portable devices but i can not
load music to it, so ENY IDEAS!?!

Mine's working fine out of the box, maybe the one you got is defective. Try
it on another computer and if it still doesn't work return it.

I too cannot get my ZenV to sync or be recognised by my computer? I have
tried all of the remedies suggested by the creative help and pc help
websites. i gave my player to a friend who has XP and it worked first time?
Her also updated my firmware but when i tried it back on my own PC with Vista
it is still the same???

Any help would be much appreciated.

Sorry - can't be of any help. I just plugged mine in, did not install any
Creative software, and it worked on the first try.
