I cannot install the printer driver for a Brother HL-5050LT on the LPT1
port. The necessary files are all copied to a hard drive folder, but
when installation gets to the point where the .inf file is used to
install the actual driver files I get an "Access Denied" error from a
"rundll command".
I've tried using the original CD for the printer and using the
Add New Hardware Wizard without the CD and getting the latest files
from the 'net but it always comes up with the same error.
The Printer Info utility program that is installed by the CD seems to
work since it will interrogate the printer and display the Page Count,
Drum Useage etc. so I know the hardware interface is good.
OS is Win2K Pro with SP4
