Asus Ati 9200se. Cannot install, right from the get go, the screen is so
pixelated(square boxes about 1" square, very hard to read screen. Finally
did install the drivers, but it made nodifference. Asus P4B motherboard, PIV
1.6/512MB ram /Enermax 465PE power supply. I do have a promise ATA100 PCI
card anda audiophile2496 audio card. I need them for recording (sonar 3
digital recording software etc. Matrox G400 played fine with everything. I
uninstalled the matrox first of course. The 9200se won't even play without
the drivers, as previously noted. any ideas? Safe mode even looks the same?
I have the newest drivers , newest MB bios. It doesn't like something I have
right at boot.Boots fine, but thee screen is as mentioned.
Thanks so much

I don't have an answer for you, but a question. I, too, do audio recording
(MOTU 2408 to Samplitude with 24 track recording) and I'm setting up a new
Athlon 64 for audio recording and video post work. If you can't get the
9200 to work then probably I shouldn't be looking at it, but what's your
application. Would you be integrating mixes with video?

Yes, I guess no one has an aswer. I am guessing it is the card
itself(defective). I have tried everything i could think of. I am going to
see about returning it. In answer to your questions, I use Sonar 3.1.1, been
using Cakewalk since version 5. No, I do not incorporte video, audio only.
The card was recommended to me by some pretty knowledgeable folks. To have
this weird problem even in safe mode is strange, that's why I think it's the
card. I just ordered an Asus P4P800 MB and a PIV 3.2. I may just go back to
my old faithful Matrox G400 32MB, It has worked fine for me. I just wanted
to upgrade my video to the level of my other hardware. First ATI card I have
ever owned(could be my last)
