Cannot get "Take no action" as default action for autoplay on CD d

I clicked my way to the autoplay tab in properties for the CD Drive, and set
actions for all content types to "Take no action", but when I insert a CD
into the drive, Windows Media Player starts.
I haven't restarted the computer.
I am XP home, SP2, Windows Media 11.
The content types are Music files, Pictures, Video files, Mixed content, and
Music CD.
I used several CDs, but each is an audio cd, which I suppose is the same as
a music CD.
How do I get no action?

Is there an Autorun.inf file in the root of CD .. .. .. .

I'm curious why you haven't tried a REstart to see if it fixes it. Or at
least a logoff/logon to your account.

The problem is cleared up.

I omitted mentioning that I was running Nero to copy CDs to hard disk, and
when I'd insert a CD, Player would start. I terminated Nero, and was able to
load CDs into the drive without starting Player (or anything else)
automatically.

The CDs do not have Autorun.inf.

I omitted rebooting or logging out/in because doing so is a nuisance. I've
since rebooted, and it's still ok (no autorun).

Incidentally,
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\CDRom\Autorun is set to
1, which enables autorun.

Somehow, changing the AutoPlay settings in the CD drive properties while
Nero was active has no effect until I ended Nero.

Thanks to all!

Regards, Bob
