In Media Centre message says no audio device.
Cannot play CDs either or listen to the radio.

Sigma Tel High Definition Audio Code C has been installed but not active.
Comes up with message: this device cannot start (Code10). Location 65535.
Internal High Definition Audio.

How do I overcome this so I have sound and can watch TV etc.

Thanks

Go to start/run, and type: devmgmt.msc
Click on the plus + next to Sound, video and game controllers
Right click on SigmaTel High Definition Audio CODEC click update driver...
Click on Browse my computer for driver software
Click Let me pick from a list of devices on my computer
You should get a list with probably more than one option, select the High
Definition Audio Device
Go Next, then click on YES, and follow instructions until you finish.
Restart the computer

Mark - Thank you for responding. I have followed your instructions and it
does load the driver and the TV works, providing I don't turn the computer
off. As soon as I do, then the sound goes again.
Is there any way of saving the re-loaded driver so that it is there whenever
I switch on?

Thanks
