cannot get into safe mode

how do i change my log on/restart settings. to get into safe mode i have no
drop down list just logon/restart/hibernate but no drop down list appears. im
thick but i didnt think this much its driving me insane trying to change it

Reboot your system, then keep tapping the F8 key to access a screen that has
Safe Mode as one of the options.

thanks very much! you dont know how to free up disk space eaten up by system
restore at all??????it wont even fragment its on 17%

Hi

Right click on My Computer and select Properties>System Restore. Select the
appropriate drive and then click 'Settings'. Adjust the slider to the left
to free up some disk space. I have allowed System Restore about 1000 MB -
which gives me enough checkpoints to revert to if needed.
