Cannot find server error message

All of a sudden I cannot get onto any web sites. I get a
cannot find server error message. I know my modem is
working and can see I am connecting to my provider, but
that is as far as I can go. My email also stopped working.
I checked my configuration and everything seems correct,
but how would I know for sure?
Any suggestions?

I had that problem, and I remember that I had to delete some "winsock"
entries in the registry. When I rebooted, they were recreated, and
everything worked fine. Sorry I can't offer more help, but I hope this
points you in the right direction. I could dial up OK, because that is
all hard wired, but I could not connect to the net....same problem? Do
a search on the error message through Google. I think that is how I
found the solution. AOL was involved....'nuf said?
