Cannot Find DelFolders.exe

I just made a clean install of WinXP pro. I then added the
Nero CD burner application. That is all.

Now when I attempt to use the Administrator account I get
a "Windows cannot find 'C:\windows\system32
\tools\delfolders.exe"

I checked the system32\tools folder- it is empty. There is
a delfolders.pf file in the prefetch folder.

What gives and why is XP such a pain.

Your judgement about XP may be premature. "delfolders.exe"
is not a WinXP file - it's probably a virus. Google lists some 20
hits against this search string:

delfolders.exe virus

Instead of blasting XP, you might want to scan your PC with
an external virus scanner, e.g. on www.antivirus.com
("free online scan").
