"cannot find commdlg.dll"

When I run some programs, or try to uninstallsome
programs, I occasionally get the error message "cannot
find commdlg.dll". But the file is in my
c:\windows\system folder.
Any ideas how to fix?
 
I'm assuming you are running windows xp. You may need to copy it to
Windows/system32 directory as well.
 
Have you tried replacing this file? It could have become
corrupted.
