cannot determine configuration

My print shop v. 10 isn't working , When I try to open it , it says"cannot
determine configuration" When I went to the site, they said to uninstall my
old version, but I cant for some reason.
Or does anyone know where I can get a copy of broderbund's the print shop
v.10?
