"cannot create shell notification icon"

this error message comes up in a window box when the
computer first boots up but happens only accaisionally.

it is the last thing to happen on boot up

What is it? Is anyone else having this occur?

This happens with a number of applications.
It's more likely an issue with how they were coded than any problem on your
system.
What applications do you have loading at startup?

Hello,
I have the same applications I've had for over two years and never had this
error message come up till about a month ago. I haven't changed anything
except for the updates by Microsoft. It doesn't appear to be a problem with
any applications I'm using. I've isolated all of them, one at a time, with no
difference. Every 2nd or 3rd boot I get the error message "cannot create
shell notification icon". This looks more like a system problem to me. Is
there a way to troubleshoot this and find the root cause? Thanks!
