Cannot create new Appointments

A client cannot create new Outlook appointments. When they try to save them
they get an error and Outlook closes. My company has Versions of Office from
2000 - 2003. This error occurs on all versions (Only OS available is 2000
SP4 at this time). The error details are:

AppName: outlook.exe AppVer: 10.0.4024.0 ModName: mso.dll
ModVer: 10.0.6626.0 Offset: 00002600

Short of whipping the system and reloading evrything, I don't know what to
do. Any ideas?

The only relevant version is the one that this client is using to attempt to
create the appointment? What version is that? Does a reboot of the
computer help?

After furious head scratching, Michael asked:

I just loaded Office XP on the clients system (OS: 2000 SP4). Also cannot
"Reply To All" nor can I create a new Task. I get this error: "The messaging
interface has returned an unknown error. If the problem persists, restart
Outlook". Wiping and reloading is looking better and better (not "whipping",
which I am willing to do...).

You might want to try a new profile first.
