cannot connect to the internet via FP

I am using FrontPage 2002 and cannot connect to the Internet via the FP icon
on Internet Explorer.
This has occurred after a corrupted automatic download was sent to my laptop
from McAfee.
Any suggestions as to how I might troubleshoot this?
