Cannot check Hotmail with Outlook 2007

I just can't. I've setup the Hotmail account via the manual and automatic
method. It asks for my password, I enter it, and it asks for it again! In
the end, it can't connect. What the deal?

Am I the only one who can't check their hotmail.com account via Outlook 2007?

Are you using a free Hotmail account? Have you installed the Outlook
Connector?

Go to Microsoft's download site and get their Outlook Connector plug-in
(works only with Outlook 2003 and 2007). You'll need it for a freebie
account. You never mentioned if you are using a freebie or paid Hotmail
account. You will also have to switch from an old MSN Hotmail account
to the new Windows Hotmail Live interface for the plug-in to work.
