Cannot Autoarchive Sent Items Folder

For some odd reason the autoarchive for my sent folder is not working. I have checked the settings and everything seems to be fine, I have set to archive for all sent items 3 months older but all of the emails are still there. However, if I manually archive the sent items folder it works. Could anybody help me on this issue. Thanks
