cannot auto download language pack

Hi All,

When I visit a Chinese Web page, IE automatically asks me to install the
Chinese language pack. When I click on Yes, IE will start copying file
locally and eventually asks me to insert my xp disk. I don't have my xp disk
with me since I am working oversea for a few months. And usually, IE should
download the language pack instead of installing from the xp disk.

Is there anyway I can make IE to dl the language pack instead of forcing
me to put in a window xp disk?? I use XP Professional.

Or if someone can give me the link to dl the language pack manuelly>??

Thanks so much for your help in advance!!

See these sites for possible help:

You could also try and install the IME /w language packs from here:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/downloads/recommended/ime/install.mspx

How To: Enable Chinese Language viewing in Windows XP:
1) Go to control panel > Regional and language Options
2) Under Language > Check on "Install Files for East asian Languages"
3) Click on Apply then OK.

Alternative to all this, and it's free:
