Cannot Archive in outlook 2000

I am having some real trouble with Outlook 2000. The Sales Manger came back
from a business trip and went to archive some of his mail because he has a
dozen or more messages by the end of each week.

When he goes to archive and select everything older then the current day for
his inbox nothing happens at all. And some of the messages that won’t archive
are from 2000 even.You will see in the lower left corner the archiving icon
appear for a few seconds then disappear. And the resulting .pst file that is
created is only 32 kb. Now this has happen in the past and a simple detect
and repair would fix the problem and he could archive like normal.

But now that no longer works I have done it a dozen times or more. I have
even as gone as far as reinstall Office 2000 Premium. And yet the problems
still there I have searched every message board and even a search though
goggle. And yet I am unable to fine a solution to the problem.

Outlook doesn't use the received date for archiving. It uses the modified
date, which is usually undisplayed.

Ya I was looken at that. When the Sales guy gets back I will have to check to
see if he moved his mail around. Which explains why it dosen't work when he
tryed to archive his mail.
