Cannot add to contacts folder from email message.

We are running Outlook 2003 on the desktop and Exchange 2003 on the server.

Some users are reporting that when they right-click on an email address from
a message they've received and select "add to Outlook contacts" they receive
the following message: "cannot perform the requested operation. The command
selected is not valid for this recipient. Unable to add receipients to
contacts. The contacts folder could not be found." They also get the
message "The contacts folder could not be found." when attempting to create a
new distribution list.

This behavior follows these users from pc to pc. Removing and recreating
profile didn't help. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Did you use the same name for their new profile? Try it with a totally new
name for the profile. Might also want to delete or rename all of the files
in the two outlook folders under their profile: C:\Documents and
Settings\username\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook and C:\Documents and
Settings\username\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook.

A detect and repair might help as well.
