cannot add email account

i used windows mail when i first got my computer about two months ago and
then it randomly deleted the email account i was using from it's account list
(it is a Mediacom Cable email address, a POP account). So i just thought
whatever and tried to add the email account again, I go thru the whole
process and i receive an error message saying "An error occurred while
reading the new account information. No changes have been made." I have
tried this NUMEROUS times and still get the same message. So i tried to add
my AOL email account to see if it was just the medicom email but I still get
the same error message. Is there a way to uninstall windows mail and
reinstall it. Or what is my problem??? I also tried downloading Windows
Live Mail Desktop (i had both my AOL and mediacom emails it that program, it
looked almost identical to windows mail) and it never deleted my accounts
like windows mail had, but randomly it stopped being able to receive mail
from the medicom account and send mail from the aol account. So i just
uninstalled that as I knew how to do that, not sure how to do that with
windows mail!!! any suggestions?!?!?!?!?! please help! thanks!

Why waste time fighting with buggy email client programs?
Have you tried Mozilla Thunderbird email?
