cannot add DHCP reservation

Hi all
I have strange problem with the DHCP server. When I try to add a reservation
it says that "An error occuered while accessing the DHCP database. Look at
the DHCP server event log for more information on this error".
How can I further troubleshoot this problem. I am running windows 2000 with
all the service packs and patches updated.

This generally means that either the IP address or (more likely) the MAC
address you're trying to add a reservation for already exists in the DHCP
database.
