DHCP Reservation Problem

I'm trying to add a reservation to one of the two DHCP
servers that I administer (Win2k, SP3). Up until last
week I was able to add reservations, but when I try now
on one of them I get the message: "An error occurred
while accessing the DHCP database. Look at the DHCP
server event log for more information on this error."
There really is no informative message in event viewer.
I've tried restarting the DHCP server service, rebooting
the machine, and rebuilding the DHCP database. On the
second server, I can still add reservations to this
particular scope with no problems. Any ideas?

the next step will be to uninstall the dhcp server and
remove all the files in the dhcp folder. it look like the
dhcp it self goen bad.

I think that it will be the fastest way, and then import
the data base or recreate the scope.
