cannot access secure web pages

My System: Gateway AMD 1.3mh, win98se, IE 6.0, Norton
internet security 2003,

I am able to access the web via a dsl modem or a dial
modem connection.
All my norton virus options are disabled.

My Problem: I am not able to access any secure web sites
(etrade.com) using microsoft's IE, NOR compuserve 7.0.
Procedures tried so far:
I erased cookies and temp files.
Internet Options: SSL 2.0, SSL 3.0 & TSL 1.0 are turned on.
Trusted web sites set to: http://www.etrade.com
https://www.etrade.com
Internet options: Security zone level set to LOW.
The microsoft knowledge data base pointed me to the above
steps.

Do I call my ISP providors, Gateway support, Norton
support or ..... ??????
Any assistance would be appreciated.

I have the same problem, I also can't access etrade.com.

I also ask support directly from Microsoft Online Support,
but it still doesn't work. I also email to etrade.com and
they asked me to get support from Microsoft. So... I don't
think any place you can find a support for this problem

I have no idea what's wrong with IE6 and Microsoft, but I
am giving up and using Netscape now. I suggest you try the
Netscape also.
