HELP I was trying to reformat a laptop in work by freshly
installing windows XP Pro over the top of the existing XP
Pro installation(the factory restore discs were missing).
Fairly early into the process I realised this was a very
stupid thing to do so I cancelled before the installation
started properly. My problem is that now everytime the
computer is switched on it gives two options 1.Open with
XP Pro 2. Install XP pro ( or words to that effect).

I can't seem to find a way to cancel the option so that
the second choice dissappears and that it just boots up
as it used to. p.s. when option one is choosen it boots
up as normal and everything works fine.
Thanks in advance for any help anyone can give me.

Jarod, rt click MyComputer>select Properties>Advanced>Startup and
Recovery-Settings>Edit. Remove the line
that refers to the winxp install. You can also change the timeout=30 to
1.
