Can you erase all calendar entries?

I saved my calendar entries from a CD backup on office2003 and the events are
now over 2 days (i.e. the 11th and 12th). I have now upgraded to 2007 office
and the calendar will not let me erase nor change any entries. I want to
erase all entries and set up a new calendar system. I had to recollect my
information for the information that I will be erasing on a hard copy.

switching to a table view (by category works well) and selecting all
(ctrl+a) then Del doesn't work?

** I was able to go into and erase by category which was good since I could
get all the stuff that I had saved... So it has been solved. (Found
directions through many searches). **
