There are some web sites which hijack the internet explorer. If I turn on the security settings in high on internet explorer, can these web sites hijack the internet explorer?

Thank you in advance

Okron,

In most cases it will help. It depends upon the ActiveX settings in IE. Along with tweaking the settings in IE, I strongly suggest you install SpywareBlaster to prevent spyware being installed. It works by setting the "kill-bit". To know more, read here: http://www.mvps.org/sramesh2k/Malware_Defence.htm
