can send but not receive on one account only

Dom

I would truelly appreciate some assistance as this is driving me mad.

I have existing email accounts and having bought a new PC, have just created
them in Windows Mail. I can send from both of them, but only receive to one
of them (i.e. one works fine). I am not getting any error messages. If I use
my old computer (XP) both accounts work fine. e.g. If I send an email from an
account to the problematic one, then on the new computer it doesnt download
it, if I go to old PC it does........

To troubleshoot, I have deleted and recreated the accounts one at a time, I
have disabled firewalls, Nortons etc. , spoken to my ISP.........

Any help would be great :)

Thanks
Dom

Dom,

Try this: Go to Tools, Accounts, Select the mail account you have issue
with, Select Properties, Select the General tab, and then make sure that the
box is checked for "Include this account when receiving mail or
synchronizing." This may resolve your issue.

If both computers are checking the same email account, whichever
one completes its email download first will make those emails
unavailable to the second PC. To fix that problem, go to Tools,
Accounts, select your mail account, Properties, Advanced,
enable "Leave a copy of messages on server." Depending on how
much server space your ISP allows, you may want to select one or
both of the two associated 'remove' options.

Repeat the above on the second computer.
