Can Word spellcheck be set to recognise and allow email addresses of generic
types, eg '*@*.com'.
I am using Office 2003/Windows XP and in spelling and grammar options, the
box for 'Ignore Internet and file addressses' is ticked.

If you have the autoformat as you type option set to convert e-mail and web
addresses to hyperlinks, the hyperlink character style has the do not spell
check option set. If you don't like the default appearance of the hyperlink
and want to change it for printing. you can reformat that character style to
match the rest of the document.
