Can not start Windows Mail

I get the following error message:

Can not start Windows Mail. The program can not open the mail archive of
Windows Mail. The mail data of Windows Mail are used by another program, as a
virusscanner. Close the program and wait till the action is finished, before
reopening Windwos Mail (0x800C0155,2).

I am using McAfee virusscanner and Spamfighter. I do not know how to disable
(other than de-installing) the McAfee program.

I also have to add that there is a second error message:

Windows Mail can not start because MSOE.DLL can not be started

You will need to uninstall the McAfee program completely, as it
is very detrimental to Windows Mail. Reboot and try Windows Mail
again. If it still doesn't work, then McAfee has corrupted your
mail account. Add a new mail account with the same settings as
the old one, then delete the old account. Once you get your email
working properly, download and install a less intrusive antivirus
program such as the free Avast. Whichever antivirus program
you keep, be sure to disable its email scanning option.

Try these (and please report back if they work or not )

Start > All Programs > Right click Windows Mail > Run as Administrator

If that doesn't work...

Turn off UAC...
Start > Help & Support > Search UAC > Turn off etc.
reboot

Then try running Windows Mail as administrator again.

I had this problem last night, running Avast, and I got around it
by running Windows Mail as administrator.
It was late last night and I can't rememeber if I turned of UAC first
but I did stiop Avast which made no difference on its own.

Once I was into Windows Mail everything was OK.

I think WM has other issues besides sensitivity to antivirus programs.
Every few days I see a new Restored messages folder, with some
random messages in it. I have no idea why. OE never did this to me.
