Up until a few days ago, I have been using windows mail for 2-email address's
and it has been working out perfectly. Now it will receive messages but will
not send.

This is the message I get:

The connection to the server has failed. Subject 'Re: PVE', Account:
'mail.pizzeriaventi.com', Server: 'mail.pizzeriaventi.com', Protocol: SMTP,
Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10061, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E

Please help me, thank you!!!!

Pizzeriaventi.com is not your ISP. As such, your home ISP will block
your use of any port 25 SMTP server other than their own. Although
they may not have done so before, ISPs are periodically tightening up
their anti-spammer measures. For an explanation of this policy, see
http://www.postcastserver.com/help/Port_25_Blocking.aspx

To send from home, you will have to substitute your home ISP's
SMTP server. If you need help with that, let us know who your
home ISP is.

Thank you for your response. However, I had an IT person help me with
everything when I bought my new computer, I don't even know what an ISP is,
where can I find this information for you? Thank you

after reading the article you sent as well, I do have Comcast which is on the
blocking list, is there a way to un-block this?

ISP= Internet Service Provider, the company to whom you pay a monthly
fee in order to get on the Internet.

There is a way to get around the port 25 block.

1. In Windows Mail go to Tools, Accounts, select the pizzeriaventi.com
account, click Properties, Servers. Change the name of the outgoing (SMTP)
server to smtp.comcast.com. Do not change the incoming server. Also,
make sure that the "My server requires authentication" option is checked.
Click the adjacent "Settings" button. Select "Log on using", then enter
your Comcast username and password. Click OK.

2. Go to the Advanced tab and change the port number for the
outgoing (SMTP) server from 25 to 587. Again, do not change any
receiving parameters. Click OK. Try sending.

My ISP is Comcast, but I do not have a username and password with comcast?
So do I need to create one?
