Can not see unread messages

How do I see some unread message in Outlook 2003 that I
can not see in my inbox? The side bar menu is telling me
I have 4 unread messages there.

Do you have a filter/view set to hide unread items? (See View | Arrange By
| Current View)

try double clicking on each email that shows unread

I can see all my other email messages except 4 that my
inbox is telling is there unread, but I don't see them. I
am having no trouble with any other email messages. I
have been trying to find this 4 messages and its look
like there invisiable to me. There have been in my inbox
for over two weeks now.

try this , double click on every email you have in the inbox , each time you
double click a email just close the email afterward and see if that gets rid
of your unread emails
