Can not open video files on my Windows Movie Maker

Hi there, I'm trying to prepare a movie and when I download the videos from
my camera they come authomatically as Quicktime files and Windows Movie Maker
does not accept this file, so I can not create a movie with my videos. How
can I change the file format for my videos or how can I use them in WMM?????

you need to do file conversions before importing
