Can not open saved Microsoft word documuments

I have Microsoft word 2000. The documents I have save
in the past will not open. I finally get this message after waitin
about 5 minutes: XXXXX.doc is locked for editing by (my name).
Click 'Notify' to open a read-only copy of the document and receiv
notification when the document is no longer in use

Any help someone can offer would be appreciated.

Try emptying your Temp folders
