Can not map to Admin shares

We are on a network and use the Admin shares to do support. We have a
network of 500+ PCs and most work fine. However, we've come across some that
are not allowing us to connect??? to the C$ share
Administrator password the same
File and Print sharing is on
The C$ is shared

Anything else that is required or that I should be looking for? We have
everyone set up for Remote access, but by using the shares - we don't disrupt
their work.
Thanks in advance for any recommendations you might have!!!

The firewall settings, or exceptions in same, might not be identical.
However, if you're on a domain, this should all be controlled via Group
Policy... is it?

Also, what errors do you get?

I couldn't send a reply to your entry so hopefully you'll look at this - my
error is "The network path could not be found" - yet I can RDC to it.

What Windows firewall setting would be blocking this? We do not have the
firewall controled through policies, so maybe that is the problem.

Can you ping those computers by name and IP address?? If not then the
Windows Firewall may be enabled on those computers for some reason. ---

Well I had this same problem. The only thing I did was disabling the
share and enable it again without the $ in the name ;) It will change
from a default administrator share to a normal share.
Remember to edit the security settings ;)
