Can no one help me please? Why is my E drive beeing checked everytime I reboot

Hello Friends,

Hello Again,

Sorry for writing again, but I would really like to get rid of my below
problem.
This week something strange has happened in my computer. Everytime I start
my copmuter the windows Logo comes up as normal, but then it switches to a
check of my E drive for Consistency?. It takes maybe 30 sec where it goes
through the cluster etc. and then it says that everyting is FINE. So if
everyting is fine why does it do this every time I start my computer ?. The
drive works fine, no noices or any problems at all from it. I have tried to
right click on the drive and then run the chkdsk and there was no problems
at all.

So how do I get rid of this strange problem ?

Can anyboddy help me.

You could try to reset the check, assuming the drive is NTFS. Go to a cmd
prompt and type chkntfs /?, using this command you can reset the dirty disk
check at boot time.

You might check the system logs in Event Viewer and see if you have reports
of a dirty volume. Chkdsk will run at startup if Windows file system
structure has become damaged, if the hard disk is damaged or if it's
scheduled to run (or if you use HP ScanJet 5100c
