can no longer open attachments with .msg extention

Been using Outlook for a year on this computer with no problems. Since last
week, I can no longer open attachments with .msg extentions. these are
usually forwarded e-mails from AOL users and such. Any idea how to fix

Are you using Google Desktop Search? That's the culprit. You should uninstall
it.
