Can I use Frontpage without using FP server extentions?

Is it possible to do live edits to a website using FP 2003 if I connect via
FTP only? What funtionality will I lose? I ask because some of my users
don't have frontpage and would like to be able to make edits using FTP.
Thanks.

No.

It can't be done with FrontPage.

Bad idea. Using FTP will corrupt the extensions. If there are no
FrontPge extensions installed on the site then you can (usually) do live
edits with Expression Web. In my opinion editing the live site with
*any* software is a bad idea, since mistakes are often not seen, and it
is easy to break pages, or even the entire site in some cases.

A CMS (Content Management System) could be used for your users editing
purposes.
