Can FP be used to edit existing website designs?

My co is thinking of purchasing FP to be able to edit and update an existing
website, designed & developed originally on a Mac. Does anyone know if it's
possible to do this? Any suggestions? Thanks.

Lee-Anne: Yes, FP is very capable of doing this. It is best if your host
company has FP extensions enabled so that you can take advantage of all that
FP offers. All you require is site login ID and password. Open live site,
publish back to your computer for backup and changes. Your' all set. Also,
if purchasing new, go to FP 2003.

FP can pretty much handle HTMl created by any tool. You just need to look
into what specific functionality was used in a previous tool that may or may
not be available in FP. For example: if the previous tool was able to
connect and talk to databases using PHP. FP doesn't have this capability but
it can use another server-side language called ASP. The primary issue in
this case is what does the web host support.

Hope this helps,

Possible yes.

Results may vary, depending on the specifics of the server setup and the
actual files in the site in question.
