Can anyone recommend a good free process watcher utility?

I'm looking for one that reflects the memory used by each active process.
My Avast AV program seems to be a memory hog, and I have a feeling that my
Win 2000 task manager (and Win XP on another machine) don't tell the whole
story. I have 384 mg ram installed and I'm constantly down to about 175 mg
free.

The MS beta anti-spyware seems to be quite a memory hog, too.

Others answered your question.

Some food for thought on the subject. See "Why is there so little free RAM"
here.

Forget all those others. The one you want is Faber Toys.

For the price of ram you should take a hard look at going to 512 - for many
reasons.
