is it possible (yes I know anything is possible) to setup windows 2000 pro
so that a person dials my modem, logs on and then is able to surf the
internet? Like a mini "1 user ISP"
I only have one network card on my computer.
My internet connection is an rj45 plug in the wall (fiber optics) that plugs
into a linksys router.
thank you.

Yes we used to call those bulletin boards back in the day. Well
actually people would connect thru our modem and then access what was
on our hard drives. You could set it up with todays technology to have
it access the net, but it would be sooooo much trouble! One of the
BBS's we used to run was called Wildcat, do a search and you should
find it.

I remember those old FidoNet BBSs. I used to run Proboard,..and before that
Spitfire. It was called TruckStop BBS. It was originally in Springfield,
Mo,..then moved the Taylorville, IL,...then shut it down aft the Internet
got popular, it wasn't worth the hassle of running it by that point.
