Calling card to fax

Hi,
I saw previous thread

stating how to configure PC fax in XP. Then why they gave Calling card
feature in dialing rules? Do they are useful with someother application. I
need 15 to 20 seconds pause they prompt a big voice message before asked to
dial destination number. And one more thing, do all carriers support fax
along with voice or only some. Because some calling cards said we donot
support fax. Any difference?

Thanks

Here's the problem you may be seeing and a solution for Windows 2000 that
DOES NOT WORK for Windows XP because the XP Fax Service can only run under
the System account:

Fax Service Does Not Use Dialing Rule Calling Card Information

What you can do is create a new location and set your calling card info into
one of the "To access an outside line" boxes. Cumbersome, but it works. If
all you need is a long pause, try adding a series of commas to the dial
string; each comma produces a 2-3 second delay. As to the calling cards not
supporting Fax, this is something the carrier has setup, you'll have to
check with the carrier.
