is anybody able to inform me of how long outlook calendar stores meeting
information. i.e if i had a meeting in october 2003 and wanted to look back
at this appointment, would it still be viewable. i assumed that i would keep
everything. Is their some setting or has my user probably deleted the
appointment!!

any help would be much appreciated.

thanks

Hey Phill

Yes your outlook will store all data from the first day you created your
appointment or meeting event birthday etc. However by default MS Outlook
enables Archiving after 14days (tools - options -other tab- autoarchive. You
can turn this feature off if you like. If you have been using the same
computer since 2003 then you will have a archive.pst file on your computer
that you can open and copy all of your old calendar items to back to your
working calendar. also depending on client version each folder can be
configured to for archiving by right clicking on each folders properties eg.
inbox, calendar sent items etc

hope this answers your question.
